| I am Christfried Webers, Senior Research Engineer in the Machine Learning Group at NICTA and Adjunct Lecturer at The Australian National University. |  |
| Currently, I am managing the Distributed Solar Prediction project where we use Machine Learning techniques to predict future energy production from solar panels based on inexpensive sensors distributed over Canberra. I am also teaching the Statistical Machine Learning course at The Australian National University. | |
| Previously, I worked on ELEFANT (Efficient Learning, Large-scale Inference and Optimization Toolkit), designing and implementing algorithms for Machine Learning in Python and C/C++. Recently, I did provide machine learning expertise in the project Smart Mobile Content Distribution which has now become another spin-off company created by NICTA named Incoming. |
