| I am Christfried Webers, Senior Research Engineer in the Machine Learning Group at NICTA and Adjunct Lecturer at The Australian National University. Previously, I worked on ELEFANT (Efficient Learning, Large-scale Inference and Optimization Toolkit), designing and implementing algorithms for Machine Learning in Python and C/C++. |  |
| Currently, I am working in the project Smart Mobile Content Distribution (SMCD). The goal is to learn and predict the user behaviour in order to prefetch interesting videos onto a mobile phone. The video will be readily available without any delay and the network provider can shift capacity to off-peak time. | |
| I am also teaching Statistical Machine Learning at The Australian National University. |
